Flashcard Factory with Pear Deck

A long while back, I posted about Pear Deck .  Pear Deck is a  a site where you can import or create interactive presentation slides and then students can join via a code.  Pear Deck syncs seamlessly with Google Drive which is a great feature for both students and teachers.   But that's not all Pear Deck can do!  There is also a feature called "Flashcard Factory" that allows students to create vocabulary flashcards that can then be shared with the class or synced with Quizlet.  #awesome "When you play Pear Deck's Flashcard Factory students pair up and work together to create dynamic and engaging flashcards. Flippity is a site that allows you to create a variety of classroom items from your Google Sheets. Some examples of templates are: Flash cards Quiz show Spelling words Random name picker Mix & match Certificate Badge tracker Progress indicator MadLibs How does it work?  It's really easy! Think about using Flippity for forming groups, calling on students, tracking progress (pages/minutes read, words per minute, fluency, etc.)

Quizlet's New Features

Many of you are probably already familiar with Quizlet , a site where you can create flashcards for studying.  Recently, Quizlet has come out with a new feature called Quizlet Live that I'll highlight today, and I'll also mention a few of its other components you may not be aware of yet. The basis for Quizlet begins when you create a study set for your students.  Anything that can be visualized on a set of flashcards can be made into a study set.  You can type each word and definition into Quizlet, or you can import from a saved document.  This set will be utilized for all of the other games and features within Quizlet.  You and your students can get an account using your Google information.   You can then create a class for your students to gain access to your different study sets, or share what you've created with other teachers.
